Weren’t able to attend the 2016 ASHRM conference in Orlando last month? We’ve got you covered!
A few of our PolicyMedical teammates were fortunate enough to attend this year’s conference as exhibitors and a few as attendees. Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sanjaya Kumar, was at the risk management event getting as much knowledge as he could from all the great speakers, sessions, vendors, and events and he gave us his exclusive rundown of the top conference takeaways. From the best sessions to the overarching theme, get all of Dr. Kumar’s insights on the 2016 ASHRM Conference in the video below.
2016 ASHRM Conference
This year’s ASHRM conference was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL from September 25th-28th. It is the ultimate place to go for healthcare risk management professionals wanting to get in the know and learn more about their industry and connect with their peers. According to the ASHRM website, “the ASHRM 2016 Annual Conference & Exhibition bridges thought leadership in risk management and patient safety, attracting the difference-makers who implement safe and effective practices across the health care enterprise. This can’t miss meeting brings together professionals with a breadth of perspectives to share their successes, challenges, and best practices in order to advance safe and trusted health care in their institution and the greater health care landscape.” The conference itself also was host to a multitude of industry-leading concurrent sessions presented by experts within the healthcare industry, providing for some memorable takeaways. It’ll be hard to top, but I’m sure next year’s conference will be just as great, if not, better, and will be held in Seattle, WA between October 15-18th in 2017.
