PolicyMedical’s PolicyManager™  the First Healthcare Policy and Procedures Management Solution to  Crosswalk Policies to AAHHS and HFAP

Toronto, Canada – May 16, 2017PolicyMedical, a leading provider of cloud-based healthcare regulatory compliance software, today announced a new partnership with the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), a federally recognized accreditation body dedicated to ensuring high quality patient care in hospital and laboratory settings. The partnership enables PolicyMedical to link directly to the HFAP Standards for acute care and critical access hospitals as well as clinical laboratories in PolicyManager™, a policy and procedure management solution designed specifically for healthcare.  Healthcare organizations can now seamlessly crosswalk their policies created and stored in PolicyManager to HFAP standards based on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation for hospitals and laboratories to support on-going compliance.

“We are extremely excited to be able to provide our customers with direct linkage to AAHHS and HFAP enabling them to automate and streamline the workflows involved with ensuring their policies and procedures are in compliance with the Standards and to be directly alerted of any changes with real-time email notifications,” said Saud Juman, CEO and President, PolicyMedical. “Automating the process within PolicyManager enables time-starved healthcare professionals to focus their efforts on delivering high patient quality and services at nationally-recognized standards while gaining operational efficiencies and maintaining regulatory compliance.”

PolicyManager, a SaaS-based comprehensive policy and procedure management solution enables healthcare organizations to create, edit and approve policies and procedures in one centralized searchable library that can be accessed by staff at anytime from anywhere improving productivity, quality patient care and supporting accreditation.

“As America’s fastest growing hospital accrediting organization, we are pleased to form this partnership with PolicyMedical to make the HFAP Standards available to their clients.  With their focus and track record in the healthcare market  there is a natural synergy for us to work together to help automate and simplify the accreditation process for hospitals and health systems who are under immense pressure and scrutiny to enhance the quality of patient services, “ said Meg Gravesmill, Vice President, Accreditation and Certification Operations, AAHHS and HFAP (AOA).

About AAHHS

AAHHS (Accreditation Association for Hospitals/Health Systems, Inc.) was created in 2012 as a sister organization to the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) to focus on the accreditation needs of U.S. hospitals having fewer than 200 beds with an average daily census of less than 100. In 2015, AAHHS acquired the Health Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) from the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). HFAP currently accredits more than 400 acute care hospitals, critical access hospitals and laboratories. Originally created in 1945, HFAP has maintained continuous deeming authority since the inception of CMS in 1965. The acquisition of HFAP greatly expands the scope of AAHHS making it the fastest-growing hospital accreditation organization in the country. For more information visit www.aahhs.org.
